Test Code PF Scr Platelet Function Screen
Useful For
The Collagen/Epinephrine (COL/EPI) cartridge is the primary cartridge used to detect platelet dysfunction induced by intrinsic platelet defects, von Willebrand disease or exposure to platelet inhibiting agents. The Collagen/ADP (COL/ADP)
cartridge is used to indicate if abnormal results may have been caused by the effect of ASA (Acetylsalicylic acid or aspirin) or medications containing ASA.
