Additional Information/Important Notes

<!--A HEP PAN REF-->

Hepatitis A Antibody IgM (HAV M)
Nonreactive IgM antibodies to Hepatitis A Virus were not detected. This does not exclude the possibility of exposure to, or infection with HAV. Levels of IgM antibodies to HAV may be below the cut-off in early infection
Borderline IgM antibodies to Hepatitis A may or may not be present. Patients exhibiting borderline test results should be closely monitored by redrawing and retesting at approximately two week intervals.
Reactive IgM antibodies to Hepatitis A Virus detected. This is presumptive evidence of HAV infection. A Reactive IgM antibody to HAV does not rule out other hepatitis infections.
Hepatitis B Core Antibody IgM (HBcAb M)
Nonreactive IgM antibodies to Hepatitis B Core were not detected. This does not exclude the possibility of prior exposure to, or infection with hepatitis. Levels of antibodies to hepatitis B core may be below the cut-off in early infection.
Reactive IgM antibodies to Hepatitis B core detected. This is presumptive evidence of acute infection or acute attack in an individual with chronic hepatitis B infection. A Reactive hepatitis B core antibody does not rule out other hepatitis infections.
Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg)
Nonreactive Hepatitis B surface antigen was not detected. This does not exclude the possibility of exposure to, or infection with Hepatitis B Virus.
Reactive Initially reactive for Hepatitis B surface antigen. Contact lab at 573-884-4522 if confirmatory testing is required. Requests more than 7 days after testing will require a redrawn sample.
Hepatitis C Antibody (HCV) with reflex
  Reactive tests will reflex to HCV PCR
