Additional Information/Important Notes
Strongly positive results for B2GP1 IgG and IgM antibodies are diagnostic criterion for antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). Lesser levels of B2GP1 antibodies and antibodies of IgA isotype may occur in patients with clinical signs of APS, but the results are not considered diagnostic. B2GP1 antibodies must be detected on 2 or more occasions at least 12 weeks apart to fulfill the laboratory diagnostic criteria for APS.
