Indications
Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) testing is performed to identify the proteins found on the surface of white blood cells. HLA typing is used to match patients and donors for kidney transplants. Kidney donor HLA typing consists of Class I AB&C Low resolution and Class II DR/DQ/DP High Resolution Typing.
