Patients that have received one or more doses of the MMR vaccine may demonstrate an IgM response that is missing, delayed, or transient.
Collection Instructions
- Buccal swab collected with a rayon swab and place in a M4 Transport media (blue top) for the transport of viruses, chlamydia, mycoplasma and ureaplasma (3.0mL)
- Red top tube drawn and sent off for Mumps IgG and IgM. One gold top tube may be substituted for these tests.
