Patient Preparation
Collect before bowel movement, bath, or upon waking.
Special Collection Instructions
- Gently press paddle’s sticky side against several areas of perianal region while spreading open perianal folds.
- Place paddle into transport container, & tighten cap.
- Daily consecutive negative specimens (≥6) should be obtained before patient is considered infection free.
NOTE: Specimens are best obtained at 10 – 11 p.m. or upon waking & before bowel movement or bath.
