Reflex Testing
All positive results will reflex to RPR rapid testing for titer. If syphilis results are reactive and RPR results are negative, TPPA-Mayo will be sent out for testing. This test cannot be used for congenital syphilis, except indirectly if the mother of a newborn is positive with this and the reflexed RPR on the same sample.
